What is Angela Reading?

Since childhood, I've been a major book worm. I particularly love seeking inspirational books to challenge my spiritual growth.  I am sharing my current reading list for anyone who wishes to follow and read along.  I hope it inspires you to pick up some inspirational books and READ!

Current Reading List

For the Family by Sylvia Gunter

This is a powerful book of prayers for your family.  I suggest this book and use this book more than any other when it comes to personal prayer time for yourself and those you love.  I have seen incredible miracles from these prayers.  Includes really great prayers for your husband/wife.  Highly recommend this resource!

A Time to Selah by Lana Vawser

4.25.20 - This is a short devotional book with a prophetic message in response to  COVID-19 quarantine and how God is using this time uniquely in the body of Christ.  If you want your time at home to find new prophetic purpose, this book is an encouragement and is helpful to frame great meditative questions.

Operating in the Courts of Heaven by Robert Henderson

4.22.20 - This book challenged me to understand not every conflict in my life is fought on the battlefield.  Sometimes we have to step into the courtroom of Heaven and get a legal judgement on our behalf.  If you have been hitting a dead end in any area of your prayer life, this book could give new insight on how to get victory. I know it has challenged my approach to prayer strategy.

Revival Fires by Geoff Waugh

4.15.20 - This book is an incredible faith builder to remember the amazing ways God has moved over the course of history to break into the hearts and lives of humanity.  If you need to remember how big God is, and be positioned to join Him in the ways He wants to move, this is a great collection of revival stories.

Watching the Road by Karen Wheaton

4.12.20 - The companion book to "The Way Home", this book inspires the power of intercession for your prodigal and never giving up in prayer for the people you love.  Karen's ability to believe by faith when her perspective in the natural was desperate is totally faith-inspiring.

The Way Home by Lindsey Doss

4.8.20 - This book is an easy ready to inspire hope for anyone who has a prodigal in their life who has walked away from family or marriage.  God's ability to transform lives and restore relationship is amazing!  Lindsey's story will give you new confidence to keep believing against all odds and gives rare insight into the life of a prodigal.

The Gospel Comes with a House Key by Rosaria Butterfield

4.1.20 - If the words  "radically ordinary Christian hospitality" sounds interesting to you, check out this book.  Rosaria has an incredible testimony and calling to open her home and create safe spaces for neighbors to connect, engage life, and grow in Christian spirituality.  I was challenged in so many ways to find opportunities to create spaces for people in my own life.

2.26.20 - This book was a great inspiration to seek to encounter God in new and powerful ways.  Ana has a  wonderful spirit and some incredible encounters with God that will stretch you.

Communication IQ by Fred & Anna Kendall

2.22.20 - This book was a new look at different ways we communicate to those around us. I enjoyed getting to see my personality from a different angle.  This book is another key to improving your relationships with those around you and become a better communicator.

Keep your Love On by Danny Silk

2.10.20 - This book will challenge you to strengthen your relationships by taking a new approach to how you engage those in your life, from friends to family to significant others. This book helped me realize I have the responsibility to set the tone for all of my relationships regardless of how the other person treats me. A great resource to frame healthy relationships!

Overcoming the Spirit of Offense by Anita McCall

1.30.20 - This book provided great insight into what holds us back from healthy relationships and friendships. Our natural inclination is to take offense toward one another rather than allow love to cover a multitude of sin, both our own and others.  This book will reveal so many hidden places in your heart that will open health and healing to you.

11.28.19 - This book challenged me to review my leadership style and impact on others by the way I approach leadership. Its full of great quotable and inspirational ideas to guide your impact on the lives of those around you.
